CALDER MEMORIAL TROPHY WINNERS (GOALTENDERS): YEAR-BY-YEAR

Awarded annually to the National Hockey League player who is "selected as the most proficient in his first year of competition inthe National Hockey League", the Calder Memorial Trophy is voted upon by members of the Professional Hockey Writers' Association at the conclusion of the National Hockey League regular season.

The trophy was first awarded in 1932-32 as "Rookie of the Year" honours, and was first awarded as the Calder Trophy at the end of the 1936-37 season. The trophy is named for longtime league president Frank Calder.
