HART TROPHY AWARD WINNERS (GOALTENDERS): YEAR-BY-YEAR

Awarded annually to the National Hockey League player who is "judged most valuable to his team", the Hart Memorial Trophy is voted upon by members of the Professional Hockey Writers' Association at the conclusion of each regular season.

The trophy was first awarded at the conclusion of the 1923-24 season, and was named in honour of Dr. David Hart, whodonated the trophy to the National Hockey League. The trophy is rarely won by a goaltender in its history.
