• The nineteen-year-old Bernier made his National Hockey League debut on Saturday, September 29, 2007, as the Los Angeles Kings "hosted" the Anaheim Ducks at the 02 Arena in London, England. The surprise starter over Jason LaBarbera, Bernier stopped 26 of 27 Anaheim shots in a 4-1 victory over the defending Cup champions. Bernier was solid in the first period during a 3-on-5 penalty kill, and made his best save stopping Corey Perrry on a breakway early in the third period. Bernier's debut shutout streak finally ended at 53:09, when fellow rookie Bobby Ryan backhanded a rebound from Chris Pronger's point shot. For his efforts, Jonathan was selected the number-two star of the game.
