Josh made his National Hockey League debut on April 4, 2006, at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minnesota. The Wild's young prospect had not played in a game since being called up on March 8, and said that he had about 45 minutes sleep between the time he found out he would start on Monday afternoon and when the puck was dropped Tuesday night. Trailing 4-3 after two periods, Harding stopped four third-period Blues shots, and five saves in a thrilling end-to-end overtime session to force a shootout. In the shootout, Harding yielded a goal to Keith Tkachuk, but stopped Dean McAmmond and Petr Cajanek to earn his first league win. "It's a great feeling," said Harding. "It's pretty much indescribable."
