FIRSTS:

Martin made his National Hockey League debut on Wednesday, December 13, 2006 at Mellon Arena in Pittsburgh. After Flyer starter Antero Niittymaki allowed five goals in 27:17, Philadelphia made the switch to Houle. Houle played just 132 seconds, stopping two Pittsburgh shots before allowing a goal to Mark Recchi. At that point, Niittymaki returned to the game in an eventual 4-8 defeat.
