- On December 10, 1974, Cesare left the Minnesota - Montreal game after turning a seemingly harmless shot
by Murray Wilson into a goal. Maniago slammed his stick on the ice and skated off the ice directly to the
North Stars' dressing room, ignoring an attempt by Minnesota coach Jack Gordon to stop him.
- On February 27, 1977, Cesare was the goaltender who allowed Stan Mikita's 500th career National Hockey League goal.
