• Curtis made his National Hockey League debut on October 22, 2007, as his Calgary Flames hosted the San Jose Sharks at the Pengrowth Saddledome. With the Flames down 3-0 late in the second period, starter Miikka Kiprusoff was pulled in favour of McElhinney. McElhinney faced just two shots on net in his 23:38 of action, although one of those was a Milan Michalek shot that eluded him. Unfortunately, the Flames could not come all the way back in a 4-1 defeat.
