"Naumenko has been a surprise for the Ducks. After only one college season at Alaska-Anchorage, he was selected to the AHL all-star team in his first pro season and even spent a few days in Anaheim when goaltender Guy Hebert was sidelined by neck spasms after Christmas. "He's extremely athletic and has great concentration for the puck," [Anaheim GM-president Pierre] Gauthier said.
