Mike made his National Hockey League debut on Sunday, November 26, 2006, at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. With both Jean-Sebastien Giguere and Ilya Bryzgalov sidelined with injuries, the Anaheim Ducks recalled both Wall and David McKee for their game against the Calgary Flames. Wall got the nod, and made nineteen saves in a 5-3 Ducks victory, as the Anaheim defense limited Calgary to a mere eleven shots on goal in the first two periods.

On March 17, 2007, Mike scored his first professional goal for the Central Hockey League's Arizona Sundogs. With time winding down, the Corpus Christi Ice Rayz pulled netminder Brent Zelenewich, and Wall shot the puck over everyone and into the empty net at 17:49 of the third period. It was the fifth goal in a 5-2 Arizona victory.
